First Light 2002 - Opening Credits

As I talked about with "Today," this was the project that almost made me miss my final. The whole video was a 20 minute venture, and this is the opening credits sequence. Since highlight videos like this are very formulaic, I chose to make really dynamic and interesting openings. I felt it was a platform for me to really show off and build something really special. This was my third video for Sammamish Rowing and my last before I went off to WSU. I really enjoyed making this sequence, which only took me I think around 5 hours.

The music holds it all together. Originally, this was going to use Basil Poledouris' main titles form "For Love Of The Game." At the time, I'd not seen "Band of Brothers" yet, but my friend Jeron had tossed me the main titles cue by the late Michael Kamen and when I heard it, I was hooked and that became the opening cue.
