The climax of the legendary show - chaos reigns in the studio as someone decides to drive the cast out of the studio in the car that had been used in an earlier sketch. Truely, the show ended with a bang. But while TW3 never aired again, it had set the bench-mark for political TV satire that still influences today - nearly half a century later.

  • @Feisty1967 I cannot believe that was back then. I believe the BBC pioneered in using this closing credits sequence where the credits move to left…

  • Truly groundbreaking TV. Sherrin, Frost, Kinnear, Cope, Percival and Rushton all went on to other things. The only other occasion I saw David Kernan was in an advert for hairspray.

Those closing titles contain a few names who also went on to bigger things, including Gerald Kaufnman, who became a major figure in the Labour Party in the 1970s. David Nobbs went on to write the Reginald Perrin books.

  • Love the wobbly titles at the bottom!
