We have designated fishing times, usually 12 hour periods a few days each week. If our nets were offshore, where they stayed "fishing" regardless of the tide, a stationary net would be used. On the beach however, where we get tides that range from a -3 to a +23, we have to have the nets attached to a system where we can move the net in and out as the tide changes.
