@corpsemunger KInda depends on what species you're after! For that Grayling (and for the brown trout and chub I catch there) I simply used a small mepps spinner and nothing else, although I'd recommend a swivel. Another good tactic for streams and small rivers is, what i call, a freelining avon approach. A chunky river float with a hook a couple of feet below and a big juicy worm, or bread paste. Hope that helps,

@benwaddams oh i didnt really consider that, i guess im generalising too much...
can i just ask a really quick question about fishing,
if i were to go fishing in a stream like the one you were in this video what rig would you put on the line. I can never find that sort of thing online, maybe im looking in the wrong places :/
thanks :)

Grate video Ben as always mate, you have inspired my brother and I to start recording our own fishing videos and also we are thinking about doing a video on the Ring-necked Parakeet that over the past 20 years has invaded Britain.

@kreeddem Mate, far too kind...and no chance! But thanks anyway :)

@corpsemunger Yer, the smaller fisheries can be a problem, but many are still very well run and act as good spots for other wildlife too, so I don't have much of a problem with them...there are however some unscrupulous ones... I agree with you though, I much prefer to just wander around wild places and see what takes the bait. Thanks for watching.

If you want to come out with us message me and we can set it up. We also now have a housing that can hold a camera for underwater shots and a slow motion camera for fast flying shots or fast insect movement. Once again let me know if your up for some location filming mate.

@GunMan303 That's really kind of you mate. I'd love to come out with you. Your camera's sound great! I will try and find time and let you know, I'm really chock-a-block at the mo. Let me know when you've filmed your parakeets, I'd be interested to see those. Thanks,
Ben
