Lighting up my favorite tree with off camera flash triggered and recorded with the compact point and shoot Canon s90.

You don't necessarily need an expensive DSLR setup to use strobist techniques as demonstrated here.

First part of video shot with iPhone and last portion showing me shot with s90. I then combined the two different footage in Sony Vegas and saved as Windows Media file and uploaded here to YT..

  • Heh, I'm watching this with headphones on and the mosquito sounds make me feel like I'm really there!

  • @7SamMurai Yup, unintentional soundtrack. They were buzzing all around me.

  • 2 flash guns would reall make the difference what flash did you use? nice place!

  • @firehorse74 For this demo I used an old Quantaray flash with a hotshoe mounted optical slave. Agreed, two makes for better coverage.

  • love the sound of the mosquito... ha ha ha

  • @LEXPIX I see, yeah I live on countryside myself in Sweden, but during winter it gets kind of isolated with all the snow and cold. Still very beautiful in nature though. :)

  • @LUNARIAproject it sure is. Fall and summer are best times. Winters can be nice too. Spring is still slushy.

  • That is such a beautiful place! I wanna go there!
