Genie and Jafar

September 5, 2010 Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular
It's time for Genie's banter with Jafar, only this time....it's goes on for a lot longer than usual.
This was recorded from my phone, so if you can't hear one of the jokes, just ask and I'll let you know. And sorry for my obnoxious laughter in the background, it was really funny.

Fyi: Aladdin is closed due to the reconstruction on the Hollywood Backlot. But have no fear! It opens back up October 7th! :D

At 4:12, when Jafar was shaking his head around, was he laughing or laughing sarcastically? Because I heard something that sounded like snorting.

@kurzendagamingwonder I believe he was actually laughing, but trying to make it look like it was part of the performance. The snorting could highly possibly be me in the background or someone in the audience.

Love the Globey and King of Cartoons jokes! :P

For those who don't know, the actor playing Jafar was leaving the show. He went on to Broadway to play the King of Cartoons at Pee-Wee's Playhouse show.

@Fiyeroni awww lame! He gave up Jafar to perform for Pee-wee? He was everyone's favorite too. Understandable though, but a shame. He was great!

@kingdomheartsbby Yeah, he was an awesome Jafar - and was there since the show opened in 2003!

But playing in a big show in Broadway is a great opportunity for any actor. And he makes a great King of Cartoons! I was able to see the show during the previews at the Nokia Theatre.

@kingdomheartsbby because the show was originally going to close on August 15, some of the actors made other commitments before it was announced that the show would extend its run. that Jafar just happened to be one of them :/
