Obviously, for your own sake, you should never do anything to try to displease an officer, and all the issues with the police in general should be dealt with through some sort of activism. And about cases like your step-dad, you should always help educate ignorant people so they dont end up offending anyone and, obivously, so they're not ignorant anymore. I get the impression that NZ is either not really that diverse, or maybe you're just in a suburban area with little diversity

Excited to see a new video on your channel! Believe it or not, I was just asking myself about whether or not you'd return to youtube to make more just the other day.
Great little video. Glad to see you were made about the attitude and not the fine. A refreshing standpoint on the dickheadedness of police officers.

A lot of cops ARE dicks! Usually if you talk back to them and say something like "no need to be a smart ass", it's only gonna make things worse. Cops deal on a daily basis with people who are bigger dicks then they are, and they'll use any excuse to make your life worse if you give them a hard time. actually the best thing is to keep quiet and only supply the things you need (e.g. license, registration, insurance). Force the cop to prove that you're wrong, rather than you admitting it.

So true. My friend was driving home late one night, and got pulled over about a block away from his house. He wasn't doing anything illegal, it was a 'routine licence check'. My friend also happens to have dark skin.
So the cop asks all these questions about where he lives, what he does for a job, and then takes his licence and checks it. He returns to the car and tells my friend to 'drive straight home'. That's fucked up. My friend can drive wherever and whenever he wants. What a power trip.

Was driving a block without a seat belt endangering many lives? Fewer than driving while making a YT video I’m sure.
There was nothing fair about the rule being imposed. The cop was just getting his quota of funds for the State. The cop either knew this and is consequently morally corrupt, or he is stupid so trying to engage him would just have confuse him. No human interaction should be attempted. He’s already the robocop you prefer.
150 reasons to avoid them even if the result is a fine vid!

@LongBrownCloud I'm not sure whether I prefer the idea that he was collecting funds for the State or filling his personal quota. Both are awful.
