Here I show you a highly customisable freeware program called Dream Render which allows you to have videos, webcam, a changing map view of the earth with lights, and more as your desktop wallpaper. This works on Windows Vista also.

Dreamrender predates Dreamscene by about a decade..

So it is not "obviously taken from Dreamscene" if anything its the other way round..... Dreamscenes are just video loops. Dreamrender actually does some realtime rendering... Particle mouse effects are the best......:)

And you can add effects like greayscale, black and white

There is a much beter program called: DeskScapes and it does the same thing ecept your icons say the same and it has very little cpu usage
