@rndomn8 But either way, the development is so so so slow. It will be 2020+ before Malawi people can actually use standard 512kbs at home, by then the entire planet will be on 50mbps+) at home.
:( Frustrating I tell you...

Malawi is fucking pathetic. I mean we are in 2011 and they still don't have broadband, why not just sell the damn country and merge with zambia mozambique or even tanzania...ANYTHING. I mean it is so behind when it comes to anything connected to technology, I MEAN ANYTHING. I repeat ANYTHING. The country hasn't changed for decades, people are dying daily, starving no jobs. Government is corrupt...I hate I was born there but I still love my people there. I can't do business at home, sad.

@DBlockn05 In my short time there I did notice the internet a little slow but I just thought that it was because I was in rural areas.
Sounds like an opportunity for a communications company to invest. Although wireless reception was quite good in most of Southern Africa. Perhaps that is the way they are going?

@rndomn8 I wanted to actually invest in a communication company but they are mostly all corrupt. The prices they charge are straight garbage. This is to justify their profit margins for the shareholders...It's a really bad set-up because people are really getting cheated but these companies have more than enough money right now to actually improve their service.
On top of that, they are waiting for the other countries to get the new fiber cables laid down(mainly from Tanzania and Mozambique)

@DBlockn05 Sucks man. When I was in Tanzania we seen them laying fiber. Looked like a massive job although will be totally worth it.
