The second half of the opening sequence introduces your sidekick Alpha and Supervisor Euler, your contact for most of the game, then dumps you onto the streets of Robot City with a disc change (great breakpoint!). Keeping with Robot City's non-linearity and free-form exploration, a lot of the things shown can be done differently or out of order. Alpha, for instance, isn't needed right away. Plus there's other hilariously manipulative ways to shoo Sylvius away.

I didn't get every bit of background information from Alpha and Euler. This was just to save time. A lot of it isn't necessary or immediately useful, so I'll get to those when the time comes.

Robot City is a 1995 adventure game by Byron Preiss Multimedia and Brooklyn Multimedia. Stranded on a distant and self-sufficient robot-run planet, an amnesiac identified as "Derec" must prove his innocence in murder mystery that invokes Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics. With help from Alpha, a robotic sidekick capable of deductive reasoning, the players must assemble clues, gather evidence, and use Asimov's laws to manipulate the city's positronic inhabitants. Limited exploration windows provide brief chances to explore new parts of the planet through mine shafts and a massive subway system.
