The Lucky Coin - a short film by Rohan Deshmane

"The Lucky Coin" is a short film made by Rohan Deshmane, a final year PG student of FLAME, Pune. This film shows how a coin found on a footpath turns out to be lucky for a struggling student. Once the student realizes that the coin is lucky for him he decides to save it in his wallet. But when he sees a streetside beggar he ends up giving away that lucky coin thinking the lucky coin will bring similar good luck to the beggar.

Excellent film. Very powerful message in such a short film!

Good direction and camera angles. Every camera angle has been used effectively. Could feel all the emotions ranging from inner anguish, joy, relief to inner peace of the main character. The tracking shots, low angle shots and subjective shots, all are very effective.

Liked the music too. It enhances the setting and theme of the film.
