  • Where can i get that version of Old folks at Home?

  • This can be found on the CD "Better Than Rations or Medicine" by the Federal City Brass Band at our website

  • Wonderful music, thanks for posting! Could you possibly tell me the name of the first tune played? It sounds quite familiar to something I might have heard during one of the reenactments I went to during my exchange year in the US. Many thanks in advance!

  • Thanks!! It is called Captain Sheperd's Quickstep by Claudio Grafulla. It uses 2 tunes-"Old Folks at Home" and "Oh, Boys Carry Me Home." It is on our latest CD "Better Than Rations or Medicine"

  • Could someone please tell me what the song is just before the Battle Hymn of the Republic?

  • Soul stirring! I can imagine how the music uplifted Confederate soldiers' spirits, especially after a battle.

  • Very good music; I would really enjoy attending a concert of this group. It's neat that it's played on old instruments.
