@daninsf Thank you, most of us will never see a track, but on the street, especially in traffic, no one can take our bikes, 500 or 1000. We don't ride our bikes for top speed, we ride our bikes for acceleration and agility. I can cut ten minutes off what would be a thirty minute ride to school simply because I can cut thru traffic like nobodies business. If someone told me I had to trade in one of my bikes for a car, I'd tell them to f*ck off. Bikes are the shit.

@kraig7777 the 500 is loads of fun. I try and ride my as much as I can. you can check a vid I put up of the acceleration. Only have up one vid for now though.

Does a 500 have a 6 speed gearbox like the ex250? Just asking because I ride an '07 250 Ninja and I'm having a blast with the 6 speed and the 14,000 rpm redline. Little bike sounds great (nice banshee wail) shifting at ten grand. I know the 500 is faster (and has a more comfortable riding position than a 600 supersport for my long trip to work) than a 250, I was just wondering if it's as much fun.

@tjmick1992 it's carbed so it will have pretty decent throttle response. i have a virago 700 which has the same horsepower as the ninja 500 and it can fucking go lol i haven't met a car on the road i can't beat off the line
