  • Thanks for the upload! Does Swanwick handle London Control, Shannon Control, etc. and are there separate facilities for Approach controllers located at their respective airports?

  • @johnsmithfsx Thanks for watching, Swanwick handles London control yes. They also offer approach control services for all of the London and South England airports, pretty much everywhere other than the airfield's own airspace. Shannon Control is handled by Irish air traffic controllers.

  • They don't offer approach control for ALL South England airports. For example, Bournemouth has nothing to do with NATS. They also don't offer approach services for Biggin Hill, or Cambridge, or Southend or ....the list goes on...they do offer approach for Heathrow, Stanstead, .Luton, Gatwick and London. In fact Swanwick doesn't even do Southampton approach. That is done at Southampton itself. Only London airports mentioned above have approach done at Swanwick.
