detroit lions 2011

this is the offseason freeagents and draft picks that could catapult detroit into the superbowl.freeagents jonathon joeseph cb ,chad greenway lb,james jones backup wr,micheal bush oakland,also sending a 2rd pick in 2012 for tenard jackson ss tampa.if he cleans up it will be a great move.the bucs will be shopping him when he is reinstated.draft picks.1rd-mike pouncey-2rd-ben ijalana- 3rd-mark herzlich -4rd-jalil brown cb-5rd-mario harvey lb-6rd-greg romeus.romeus wont compete at the combine or proday because of his acl tear .teams will not use higher then a 6rd pick on him for doubt of him being able to play in 2011 and his back injury question.but if he is given time to get healthy he could be the steal of the draft.and with detroits depth on the dline he would have the time.

so a 23 year old linebacker is to old .now matthews wouldnt be a bad pick i did expect more then 79 total tackles from him this year.he also has alot of trouble in coverage.i,m really not impressed with the linebacker crop this draft even the first rd guys have major flaws in there games.the lions maybe better served going the freeagent route with the linebacker problem.

trust me you really dont want prince.he is the most overrated player in the draft.he has parlayed playing inferior wideouts into all this hype.he has no ball skills against upper tier wr,s.check out him goin against justin blackmon the only really good reciever he has faced and he got completely owned all game long.and there are some really strong lbers barried in this draft you just got to dig.mark herzlich is gonna be a beast.

man im pumped for next year as long as there is an nfl season. id go with protection. we need stafford healthy. pouncy from the steelers twin brother is in the draft and should be there for us. hes a center but can play guard to he can back up raiola and posibly bet him out or start at guard. id like mathews hes tuff. not as good as his brother but could help out. id go free agent for dbacks. theres afew good F,As out there. and i like smith he was a ball hawk till he got injured

@kdoggisprettycool that would be awesome if they drafted Akuramara @ 13 but I think he will be gone in the top 10. Most likely if the players detroit wants are gone they will trade down. I dont think detroit would draft a Linebacker with their first pick either they need a vet to lead them. Theres a few good linebackers in FA this year. I expect some good signings by Mayhew. Hopefully the CBA gets done within a few weeks. Keep your fingers crossed.

Lions need to focus on linebackers and defensive backfield in free agency. Drafting Akuramara at #13 would be awesome, but I'd be stunned if he's there, and none of the linebackers in this class impress me that much.

Draft an offensive lineman in round one.
