Hi Everybody!

My name is Wojtek Justyna and here is a video of one of my songs called "Definitely Something" performed with my Tree... Oh!? with Daniel Lottersberger on bass and Alex Bernath on drums.

This band is a result of me playing in different bands for years and finally wanting to do something of my own, form a band where the spotlight would be on me, my compositions and guitar playing. I've played many different styles such as Pop, Funk, Blues, Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, and R'n'B, I've studied classical guitar and spent many years studying Jazz. With my Tree...Oh!? I wanted to reach to my musical roots, to bands like Jimi Hendix' Band of Gypsys, Eric Clapton's Cream and my most favorite Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. Of course I wanted to have the flavors of such modern musicians as Oz Noy, Wayne Krantz, Mike Landau and Scott Henderson who have all inspired me.
Due to the fact that I am drawn to so many different genres of music in my Tree... Oh!? you will experience the harmonies, improvisation and interaction of Jazz, the dynamics of Rock, compositional ideas derived from Classical music, the deep grooves of Funk, Pop inspired melodies and the raw emotion and expression of Blues all blended into a balanced whole.

For all the guitar players and gear heads out there I am playing a Suhr Custom Classic through a Suhr Badger 30 with a matching cabinet loaded with a Celestion Heritage 65 speaker. For this song I used the Xotic RC Booster and for the second part of the solo the Maxon OD-9. The subtle reverbs and delays come from the Lexicon MPX 1. All the switching is done with the Custom Audio Electronics RS-10 that controls the RJM Music Effect Gizmo. I use D'Addario strings and Jim Dunlop Jazz Tone 204 picks.

Enjoy the music! All the best!
W.

Really dig it, do you have an album?

  • @TJGuitarVids Official release is in the plannig stages. It will probably be a live DVD. Working on new material, getting things tight and trying new tunes all the time to get a nice set together for the recordings. Planning to do it next year November. Thanks for the kind words!

  • Very Nice !

Daniel like always groovin tight on the Jazz Bass!

  • @BoogieEngineer Thanks! Unfortunately I will be too busy in the coming time to make a proper video. I want to make a next one when my Suhr Tele arrives, then I will do a demo of only the guitar and the Badger and I will include some overdriven tones since you ask. I can assure you though that the Badger sounds great overdriven, very fat and clear and quite modern I would say. The crunch tones are great too, I find myself using more and more gain from the amp these days. ...

  • @steev05 Thanks for your kind words!

    Glad you enjoyed!

  • Hey man great video. I'm deciding between the Badger 30 and the Cornford Roadhouse 30. Can you do a really good demo of the Badger's overdriven/crunch sound please? I'm sure the Badger 30 has superior clean sounds but from what I've heard I like the Roadhouse's dirty sounds better. Thanks in advance
