  • ROD KNOCK!!!!!

  • no, scuffed bore

  • can you explain how a scuffed bore would cause that im a mechanic so you don't have to talk to me like im 5. just curious thanks.

  • The F20c1 and f22 like the h22 and C30 all have FRM impregnated cylinder bores. The early f20 motors had two hole oil squirters that shot oil on the underneath of the pistons to cool it. People in Europe doing high speed runs on the autobahn were having 4th cylinder failures, which was due to the pistons not being cooled sufficiently and expanding in their bores. This expansion destroyed the thin FRM coating and the piston would catch on the aluminium and rock in the bore.

  • Honda came out with a revised 4 hole banjo bolt but only made it a mandatory fix for Europe.

  • no , thats connecting rod bearings , sorry , would have been an easy fix if you hadnt kept revving it and shit , what a n00bie

  • no, you are wrong. Rods bearings and main bearings were removed and were fine. This was a scuffed bore. Please don't post in a topic you have no idea about.

  • Check out your timing chain tensioner, did the trick on mine. You can strip the current one, sandblast the worm gear and the inside of the cylinder.
