that thing bassist does is really cool. it looks like he surfin on his upright bass, and it doesnt even fall (the title of the song) i think that that just made there shows a lot better. props

Well, let's break it down. Do you think, maybe, a band like Jim Heath's has to pay a lot more to travel to say, Amsterdam, than if they are doing a full U.S. tour? Wouldn't you expect to have to pay more anyway? For example, if I know Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, or Einsturzende Neubauten are coming to the States, but only playing in a few cities, would I go batshit if the tickets are more expensive? No, because I take their extra output into account. Don't like it, go see Anouk or a cover band.

Every band has off nights, but re: their only concern being getting paid? You couldn't be more full of shit...as late as 2005 I've seen them for $5-, and never more than $15-!

Yeah, I'm just playing around. I wasn't comparing them musically, I grew up in Australia and saw The Birthday Party many times as a teen before they moved to London and Berlin. I checked out your page, some good stuff. I don't blame you at all for being disgruntled if they played a crap show, just disagreed re: them, as a band, just being out for a paycheck. Cheers mate!
