It's so stupid how people think Allison can't play cuz she's a girl, when she can play just as good if not better than a lot of male guitarists in popular bands. People need to get their heads out of their asses and listen to the music before they say shit like that.

Allison is special because she can play. It IS rare for a girl to be able to play well. I think its obvious she can play when you see her live. Sadly, few girls really can rock. I mean, professional female rock guitarists, I cannot even fill one hand with them.

These issues are obviously a serious sticking point for Allison, and she really needs to emotionally mature beyond this issue. She isn't the first female rock guitarist to play rock and roll. She's obviously a fine guitarist, and if she sucked, then she just sucked--that would be the case whether she's a girl or not. This whole issue has grown to be seriously boring. Just rock out, play some kick butt guitar and shut up about it already.

ive been playing the guitar almost thirty years and i still get the shocked "oh you can really play" and im a male. that might be deeper than just sexist in its whatever that is.
