The People's Republic of China had never recognized the state of Israel until the 1990s, meanwhile they were one of the first to recognize the State of Palestine.

As for the 1990s, I mean that kind of hurts the Palestinian peace process.

Because even though Israel did that, China who they were doing it for had already establish strong ties with the Palestinian Liberation Organization and made great stride to convince the Israeli government to try and create a peaceful organization.
