∞ Always Running [Scyppend Round III]

This is my entry for Scyppend Round III. This round was the hardest one for me. We had to use an instrumental song, and make a believable kiss scene. Please excuse my craptastic masking for said scenes, I'm new at forged kisses. xDDD

Story:

Aerith stood in her church, waiting. She had been waiting for a few months for Cloud to return. He had to leave her to go fight. Cloud promised Aerith that he would return, and so she waited for him. She told herself that he was still alive, but she couldn't stand waiting there any longer.

Aerith decided one day to go for a walk outside, needing the fresh air. While she was walking, she spotted Cloud. She was about to run toward him, when she saw another girl with him (forged kiss #1). Aerith was shocked, and she turned away to go back home, fighting back the tears.

She pushed open the doors to her church, feeling heartbroken and betrayed. She couldn't erase the image of that girl from her mind. She tried not to let it bother her, and she went back to taking care of her flowers.

When the first tear fell, Aerith heard the front doors of her church burst open. She looked up hopefully, praying that it was Cloud, and the other girl had just been some misunderstanding. Her heart sank, however, when she saw an unfamiliar man standing in the doorway. She turned to face him.

"Who are you?" Aerith inquired.

"It's Balthier," The strange man replied. "Tell me, who are you?"

Aerith quickly turned away from him.

"How can I trust you?" She asked, shaking her head.

Balthier took a few steps toward her and smiled.

"I play the leading man," he said. "Who else?"

"Hm," Aerith turned around to face him, smiling. "I'm Aerith."

Balthier told Aerith that he was a sky pirate, and that he was trying to get away from people who were after him. Aerith told him that he could stay with her for awhile. However, months passed and they began to fall in love.

One day, Aerith was taking care of her flowers, a daily routine. She felt Balthier's eyes on her, and turned around and smiled. She strode toward him, and they kissed (forged kiss #2). Suddenly, the doors burst open and there was a crash. A man dressed in all black stood up from the rubble he had created. He walked toward Balthier and Aerith, sneering. He took out his phone, and dialed, calling for more people.

Balthier told Aerith that this was the man who was after him. He grabbed her hand, and they ran to the back of the church. Men with guns ran in, and they killed Balthier and Aerith.

No more room to write anything else. xDDD

This was spectacular! I just started using Vegas 7, and was wondering if you could please tell me how you made that opaqu looking stone like texture through out the video, and also how you did the masking, if you don't mind explaining.
