Violent thunderstorm caused serious flooding and wind damage all over Chicago metro area. The view here is from Evanston looking south about 15 miles to Chicago's downtown loop which you can't see due to low visibility.

I used a Canon Powershot a650 with chdk software running chdk's standard intervalometer script to shoot over 900 6/10 second exposures for over an hour. Condensed to a 480p movie using Windows Live Movie Maker and set each frame to .8 of a second to make it go fast.

Funny -- I trapped a large housefly in the room with the camera and wouldn't you know it, that stupid fly was a HAM -- it got into about 20 frames in one way or another!
