this is fucking astounding. Wish I'd known about him when he was gigging/before he died. Why do the great one's die young?

I met Isaac around 1986 when I booked him at a folk club I used to run. We became mates and I got him a few gigs. Generous as always he credited me with his popularity in my area (Fylde Coast, Lancashire). We still miss him.

And hello to Vicki if you're reading this - got any chocolate!

Hes nothing short of agenius was Isaac, great all time folk guitarists.

I mean this is my favourite song he played, only saw it once but got me going haha, only saw him live once but was very impressed actually amazed id not heard about him before.

I love what he'd say between songs, him doing that lead work like at beyond the 12th fret like going over the guitar body, I wish I could do that!

Isaac was the man. We used to get to see him locally around 3 to 4 times a year. A treat and something to look forward to. Sadly missed. He always tried to get the crowd involved with singing or banging on the table.....and mostly he succeeded. That's what music is supposed to be about. Participation.

I had the pleasure of seeing him play and i rate all guitarists in folk it Isaac hes very sadly missed great man!

The way he plays rhythem and lead on accoustics just inspirational, I could only dream of being as good as him, no other guitarist has ever I dont think tried doing what hes done that I've seen around folk clubs.

RIP Isaac!

I saw Isaac many times in the Essex UK area and am really pleased to see this video, you are reminded of just how good he was. I have all his solo Cd's and can recommend them all without hesitation especialy if you have a good system to play them on.
bauyb, I must have seen you at the same gigs, they were always special and Isaac always found time for a few words of encouragment to budding guitarists. He is sadly missed.
A DVD of him in concert would be really special. Chris.
