Here is a man who on all his trips around the Americas talk about what must be done and what he will do. All I here clinton doing is talking about the votes in Michigan and Florida. I beg to disagree. If you listen closely once again you will find that Obama around 16:00 talks about right-wing paramilitaries and left-wing insurgents. "Your either soft on communism or your soft on death squads" follows right after aluring to the previous foreign policy. This overall message is that Washington should oppose both left-wing and right-wing despotism.

Obama showed a clear understanding that our policy towards LA has been wrong and that it should be changed.

Barack Obama has an extreme misunderstanding about the US role in Latin America. In the past 100 years the US has propped up or sponsored dictators through out the region who supported American business interest at the expense of the people. The Guatemalan death squads, Somoza, Pinochet, Hugo Banzer, and the Atlacatl Battalion are among the many oppressive regimes endorsed by the United States, whose officers were trained at the School of the Americas.

Neo-liberalism and free trade have further solidified a longstanding system of debt creation, exploitation, and the expropriation of their natural resources while American tax payers subsidize a foreign policy that created the de-regulated free for all south of the border only to see their jobs exported there.
