Well Robotech in America is the Macross Saga + 2 other shows worked together to make a single long continuous story. Those other two shows were The Southern Cross and Genesis Climber Mospeada, in Japan the shows are all seperate, being common in the fact that they were Transforming mecha sci-fi shows. IMHO the original Macross is much better and the highlights of actual Macross lore are Macross: Do You Remember Love? and of course the other master piece: Macross Plus ;)

i like the name Valkyries better (it just has a more badass sound to it) but if I'm someplace and there's a lot of robotech fans there I'll just call them veritechs so they'll shut up

Forgive my bad Spanish skills (I hope I understood what you said :P), but yeah they are very different and I know plenty of people who love Robotech as most Americans know it. I like to argue over the fighters being called Valkyries, not Veritechs :D

really sounds like, doesn't it? XD well, this song come out in 1985 and street fighter 2 come out in 1991. So, maybe, the song of ken's stage was inspired by this song :)
