Take Mel Gibson's Hamlet and compress it into a 30-minute time period.

That is what I am doing for my final English project in high school.

Yes, Hamlet, the greatest play ever written, is now in the hands of an immature high schooler.

The editing is done by me (Asher Refailov), the voices are me and my good friends (Haydn Winston and Brett Forrest) and it is written by me and Haydn Winston.

This is the entire first act (about 35 minutes of the film) in 7 minutes. We muted the audio, added music and dubbed all the voices (which is why Hamlet is basically William Wallace).

It may help if you have read Hamlet. And if you haven't, you really need to. It is just simply incredible.

OK, this will probably be removed within 3 days, but whatever.

With out further ado, I present you with

  • you fail English if in Australia. this is just cynical.. a pox on it. ,,Go watch a real movie, then get back to me ok?

  • welcome to my mansion

    now get the fuck out

  • Laertes shows up in the 4th act when Ophelia goes nuts.

  • yes we are and were aware of this. but basically the fourth act only exists so laertes will want to fight hamlet to make it more climactic. it is just the exposition for his actual importance in the fifth act.

but thank you for your input.

  • Not really its also about going to england

  • Him going to England is all filler and unnecessary. Yes he does go to England but it serves no basic purpose for the play. The only tie-in is that those guys appear at the end. But this could have been easily applied with a simple line of dialogue.

Man, you guys are picky. Just enjoy the movie.
