  • Abou, I can not tell you what a well of memories your music is.... I have no clue what most of the songs are titled so, I just click on any one that has been posted by you, Nasip' and a couple others. Thanks so much for sharing. I love this one!!! I just discovered kimpa kisangameni.... great!

  • OMG... this song takes me way back home. Those days when my mom would prepare Kwon, Matoke, goat meat and oranga for the family meal. Then we would get together in the living room and listen to Franco, Tabu Ley, M'bilia Bel, and some many others. I miss home.

  • FIERTE DE LA MUSIQUE CONGOLAISE, NOSTALGIE DE TOUS LES JOURS !!!!!

  • OMG All the memories come pouring like rain. I remember this song growing up in Africa. Long live Africa yetu.

  • @chahenza congo became a play ground for the western powers shortly after independence. They orchestrated the murder of Patrice Lumumba & installed Mobutu. These powers were happy to keep him in place as a tool for fighting their proxy wars against the soviet union. So they turned a blind eye to the bad things that happened in Zaire for as long as he assisted them. When the USSR collapsed, all of a sudden, they had no more interest. So Mobutu's regime became weak. So, its his legacy...

  • @CoCoG0DIVA yep. good memories

  • For three decades the Congolese thrilled fans across Africa and Europe. their musical acumen and artistry is unrivaled across Africa ....but somehow they stuck in a rut when it came to good governance and rule of law....how it took them decades to get back on track and get rid of kleptocracy and bad leadership still amazes me...talk of the curse of resources..anyway we love the great congo
