A commentary on how government attempts to regulate cultural questions - religious or otherwise - are both counterproductive and undemocratic.

  • Live and let live is truly American. No conservative or liberal should be allowed to force his social beliefs on the rest of the community by doing things like banning smoking, banning guns, banning gay rights or marriage, banning stem cell research, or banning abortion. The rights of the individual come first. Right-wing "moral values" collectivism can be just as bad as economic collectivism. People need to mind their own fucking business.

  • Well put, SA. Leave people the fuck alone.

  • Nice said!

  • Monopolize gambling, advertise Lotto as giving to education, print fewer winning Lotto tickets, rake in the dough, cook the books and screw the public - with the excuse that they shouldn't be sinning in the first place!Thats the government who says "In God We Trust"

  • Very cool video.I will vote for it!

  • You are such a libertarian. :)

  • Plus, the same folks would object to everyone standing up to say their prayer (Buddhist chants, Wiccan incantations, Mormon testimonies, Atheists reciting Darwin and Nietzsche...) With all this praying who would find time to get an education?

  • Totally agree with Whoo69, which is why I'm with SA on gambling legislation, and absolutely against him on prayer (in schools for instance). It isn't about being free to have a majority rule...it's about the rights and freedom of an individual to not be stepped on by other individuals or a majority (the evil of imminent domain laws). Prayer wouldn't be banned if people would take consideration for others.

  • Christian (semi-pro) poker player here.

    Wow

  • I meant dangerous in a good way dipshit.
