This is how a real man makes a choice. He could've stayed with Lloyd right after he went to Vince's and conviced him about his talent, but Johnny isn't a regular guy that's why he went to Ari's office to make himself clear about the all wide situation for making a choice without any missing information and without betraying anyone.
