So cool to find this song on youtube. My Great-Uncle Sharon Pease was the composer of Snatch and Grab It! He wrote many other songs as well. Thanks for posting it.

This song was a massive hit on the R&B chart in 1947. Get this- it was #1 for a whopping 12 weeks and stayed on the charts 28 weeks. This song was the talk of the town and a dance floor classic in Black communities all across the U.S. in 1947. Enjoy !

@chassia76 That's really cool, I hope someone in the family is getting paid for this song right now, because the NFL just made it more popular then they ever expected it to be again...I hear it every ten minutes on the NFL network..

Julia (1902-1958) specialized in hat she called "songs my mother didn't want me to sing" -- in other words, double entendre material. This was the second of Julia's tracks to become a pop hit -- which it did in November 1947, peaking at #24 as Capitol Americana 40028.
would be great but keeps stopping at 1:56...just freezes up...

@psykpeaches I have that same problem off and on, and mostly on Internet Explorer. Try using Firefox instead for YouTube, it doesn't seem to have that problem as much.
