  • Love it! How about posting the full length 7-minute version of this song?

  • @Inquisitor53 I thought about it, but most people won't sit and listen to anything that runs much over 3 minutes. I may eventually post both versions, however....thanks...Nocaro

  • This is my favorite song by S&OG. I think they are overlooked and under appreciated. They are one of my favorite groups of the 60s bar none. Thanks for putting up this very pleasant memory maker.

  • It's Sunday Mornin' and I'm listing to Elaine and the boys and nothin' could be finer.

  • Great forgotten oldie by one of the better harmonizing bands ever. This one is the closest sounding song to the Mama's & Papa's yet with their own sound! Her and Cass Elliott had 2 of the best voices to come out of the R&R early "Hippy" movement era! Very powerful stuff here! Mini-Mama Cass! Strong but pleasant voice! Like every teenage lad back then I had a crush on her! Yep, fun music they did create! Best Wishes for 2012 wherever they may be!

  • Doesn't that string opening remind you of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Buy Me For The Rain"?

  • i'm not totally retro, but you never hear pop music this sophisticated on the radio anymore.

  • the best of all female voices in rock.joplin could scream, dusty was great, judith sang like an angel bit spanky is the best of all.every note crystal clear and the power!

  • In the late 60s I listened to WTOP-FM, The Young Sound, and this was one of the songs they played - the long version. It is so great to hear this song again after so many years - it takes me back to a more carefree time in life, and a time when music was actually something woth listening to. Thanks for sharing !

  • I am amazed how much she sounds like Mama Cass Elliott!! I wonder if they were related?!!

  • Kind of the Forgotten tune by them. Always liked it!

  • Many thanks to Nocaro for the remix of this great song. When I filled in on "overnights" many years ago, it was an essential record for many good reasons.

  • This song ranks up there with ANY of the greatest Beatle songs ever written (and WASN'T written by the Beatles)
