That looks fun can't wait to get my own boat

@MrNuggy420 Jacks will hit anything shiny..I've literally caught them on shiny bare hooks and chewing gum wrappers.

@Shuckers86 What is with everyone calling dolphin "mahi mahi". That is a Hawaiian term...Florida isn't Hawaii. I'm just curious why people do it...I see it over and over...we aren't calling all other fish by their Hawaiian names.

@Shuckers86 Thanks whats the best bait for the seven mile bridge for all the species there?

ElvisFish411, I beg to differ but the snapper at the bridge are Schoolmasters and the snapper in the back country are Grey aka Mangrove snapper. We have caught literally 1000s of each species. Oddly enough this year, 2011, we caught very few Schoolmasters.

I just returned from the Keys. The weather and the Dolphin aka Mahi Mahi fishing was great. However the Tuna, Snapper, and the 7 Mile Bridge were not that good. The water was crazy clear inshore and the fish were tougher to fool.

Live shrimp for the bridge snapper. Cut pinfish for the mangrove snapper. I just returned from the Keys and we caught many Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) and the snapper were chewing at the bridge.

@Shuckers86 what were you using to catch the jacks and grouper and stuff
MrNuggy420 7 months ago
@MrNuggy420 I have always had the best luck with grouper on live fish, cigar minnows are my favorite. Jacks will hit live shrimp, live fish, and lures well.

how deep is that water there at 7mile?

Depending on where you are up to 15' in the channel to dry land at low tide. I always look for deep water next to shallow with good current flow, especially for snapper.
