Why would someone need to remove it ? Well, to get something that has fallen in there or to try and remove the deffective CD player like we were trying to do.

I noticed that there are alot of forums online complaining about the factory installed CD players going haywire in these models. Mine starting acting up about a week after I bought this van (February 2011). It seems to affect the whole audio system.

The CD player makes a clicking sound that can't be stopped and sometimes CDs would get stuck in the player. We are no longer using the CD player in ours, but the problem is still there. Sometimes when I go to crank the van, the CD player starts making a noise, then the whole audio system goes out.

I haven't removed my CD player yet. I think, I'll take it to a pro and let them do it.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone else.

  • do you know how to remove a stuck cd from the cd player of a 2004 nissan quest?

  • @FcBarcelonaKid Mine was always getting CDs jammed. I didn't have any special way of getting them out. They would just eventually pop out on their own. But I fixed that...I removed the CD player. Going to replace it...

  • Thank you very much,,,,,now I can replaced my broken ,,,,,,,,, factory cd player on my 05 quest.

  • @isaacjacob200 Glad to help. You couldn't do a video on removing the CD player could you ? LOL ! I couldn't figure out how to get mine out...

  • I needed to remove the cover so I could replace the light bulb under the gear indicator panel.

Thank you so much for posting this! I was on the wrong track after reading about pulling down the cover under the shift knob. I thought they were talking about the sliding cover that moves when you change gears. thanks again.

  • @karbunkle1 So glad this was helpful for you. :-)

  • The CD is also stuck in my 2004 Nissan Quest this is a common problem on this van

  • Thank you so much for this video. I just bought a 2004 Nissan Quest and the person who had the van before me broke the top panel. The CD Player does not work. I have found that there is a CD stuck in it. Now I am working to get the CD out.

  • Taking the rest of the stere on that van is a pain. Then there is no aftermarket kit for a stereo so you would have to modify the dash.

  • Wow that was easy I don't see why more ppl don't go do a quick search when they are doing something like that.
