@Hookinem Niemi had one of the worst playoffs ive ever seen, he had a S% of .896 and a GAA of 3.22 so ya you can blame him dumbass. Also S% work on 1000% and a 10% difference is quit large actually since if Nabokov had the S% of Brodeur (.920 not .910) he would have saved 1656/1800 shots not 1638/1800 shots or a difference of 18 goals. His GAA would have gone down by 0.25 or an extra goal every four games he played. If Brodeur had been playing for San Jose his numbers would be filthy

@Hookinem Actually NHL save percentages operate by 1000%, but for this argument we will go by 100%. A save percentage difference of 1% is big in the NHL. In the 07/08 season Nabby 1800 shots with a save percentage of 0.91%, meaning he save 1638/1800. With Brodeur's 0.92%, he would have saved 1656/1800. 18 goals or almost an extra goal every 4 games. With Brodeurs savepercentage his GAA would be below 2 and he would of one the vezina. S% is the best may to determine the best goalie.

@9coulter6 Actually, Broduers S% was only 1% better. If nabby had a S% of .820 then it would be 10% better. Nabby should have won the Vezina, but he got snubbed because he was on a west coast team. Nabby has been clutch in the playoffs, but his team in front of him sucked... Look what heppened to Niemi. Everybody blamed Nabby for there playoff failures, so what's there excuse now? Niemi played good for the most part, but his teammates let him down with stupid breakdowns and no goal support.

@Hookinem S% is the most inportant stat for a goalie to determine how good they are. Brodeur's was 10% better than nabakov, which is actually huge. Also what has Nabakov won? Olympic gold, no. Stanley Cup, no. Vezina, certanly not. Also he played on good teams (San Jose/Russia. Again clutch goalies matter

@9coulter6 How were Broduers stats better? The only thing he had going for him was S%. Which was not a huge difference. Goal support would only affect the wins column... Not anything else. The numbers are right in front of you... How can you still argue?

@Hookinem Brodeurs stats where better, there is a huge difference in S% , also Nabby had better goal support. Good goalies are clutch, they steal series, obviously he is good if he is succesful in the nhl but by no standards is he great.

@9coulter6 Nabby has never had the stats to win the Vezina? Do your research... In 07-08 he had 44 wins, a 2.14 GAA, .910 S%, and 6 shoutouts.

Broduer won the Vezina that year with 44 wins, a 2.17 GAA, .920 S%, and 4 shutouts.

Nabby has great career numbers, and it's not because he was on the Sharks. Just do your research before you talk. He kept the sharks in a lot of playoff series... He also won some too.

@Hookinem didnt say loungo is good, is is overated as well. Nabokov first has never had the stats to win a vezina. All he has going for him is wins which are easy to get playing for san jose. Also he has never been succesful when it mattered. He rarely took the sharks far in the playoffs (no cups apperances and one conference final apperance), and was mediocure in the olympics (he got pulled against Canada).
