I too have been riding flat for over a decade. I also have a long history in street and park. Flatland is by far more difficult.

take this example: because of flat I can grind pretty well grind fluently on either side, regular and oppo. but when it comes to flat doing tricks oppo it is farther more technical and I can only do a few.

another example. I've done a 540 air off a quarter but can't on flat ground. why? because its HARDER!

Street is all Balls and bails. its physically hard, Flatland is balance and bails, and is mentally hard, either way. they're hard.

its the difference between a helicopter and a jet. both cost loadsa money but both get the job done

flatland is no harder than anything else.If you spend time in street pushing yourself as much as any pro flatlander, you will be good. If you push yourself in flatland as much as any pro street rider, you will be good.

It's all relative and anyone who says differently doesn't understand how riding really works.
