It is shown wrong! And DaKine is not stupid. It is just the manual and most people who got it wrong (like in this vid). In fact if you rotate one of the clips and apply a little thinking into how to thread the line through it - you'll be able to unfasten the buckle with just one pull on the line! Helps when you stuck under the sail with twisted harness line. It is easier to insert it back as well. And no, it will not slack under load.
BTW, it is all metall - won't break even if you fall on it.
What they don't tell you is this: it is quite easy to to insert the buckle the wrong way round into the harness buckle. You just may not see it. It is then not obvious that the Posi lock is not locked at all and the webbing will slip our of the buckle under load. This is what happened to me when i used this harness for the first time - lost the buckle and the spreader bar at the bottom of the sea !!
As stupid as it might sound this posi-lock has been a problem for me ever since I started kiting, just didn't get the right info every time I asked someone about three people and two shops! So simple "Dakine to your belly button". Cheers Jim. PS Saved my harness from ebay!!!
@mikeristic same thing happened to me :(

Dakine retired the Posi-Lock in 2009.
The '09 Pyro Harness now employs the Power-Clip system, as used in the new '09 Renegade and the TABU harnesses of years past.
