Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band is a big ol' slice of downhome. Their latest album, The Wages, is busting at the seams with tales of life, love, and struggle in the American midwest. The Big Damn Band proudly pays tribute to their home state of Indiana with references to places such as the Fort Wayne Zoo and Lick Creek Road.

The song, "Everything's Raising", is an anthem of the American worker, and a commentary on the harsh economic times be-setting their home state of Indiana. Somehow, they were able to take this bleak situation and turn it into a knee-slapping, foot-stomping, big-grin of a time.

  • I just want to say that my second cousin was almost an honorary member of this band. He followed them and saw them everywhere. He was a true fan. Years ago he died of cancer and I was pretty little. This band is the only thing I remember him really enjoying.

  • @MrAri452 I am so sorry about your loss...hope this video can make you smile and enjoy a happy memory. They are such a great band and I'm am sure they would be honored that their music brought him joy. - Christina

  • It's amazing that you can fit that many people in a record store. And if you wonder how they did it, then you've never seen them live. This is the best rebel-rock band you've never heard of.
