The original part is not a MUZZLE BRAKE. It's a compensator. It was design only to compensate an upward movement of a barrel.

If you noticed, AK bolt carrier is not exactly symmetrical - it has more weight on the right side, thus the compensator is located under 45 degrees to the left, to trow rifle down-left to compensate that violent up and to the right recoil.

I would suggest you to put the original part back, it's much more needed than a muzzle brake. AK-47needs a COMPENSATOR, not a brake

You can fix the tapco magazine problem by taking a wire wheel to the front and back sides of the magazine. I am not sure what it is about doing that, but it allows you to fit the full 30 rounds, and since the sides are now smooth, reloads are much easier.

@jetfuel545 To me that looks like a flash hider(open on the end like A1 GI flash hider), Chinese AKs came with them many times during the 80s, what a flash hider does is "hide the flash at night to protect a soldiers position". Of course many guys have no clue the difference with a flash hider and muzzle brake, I have a video showing the difference.
