@yesac41 Oh really? That American concept of having a car that will accelerate in a straight line very fast, but has awful brakes, steering response, fuel economy.....no, we don't understand the concept. Before Holden used LS1s, they were happy to build their own V8s; lightweight, efficient, powerful, and everything they powered them with could pull very fast CIRCUIT lap times. Not an oval track, a REAL track with hairpins and 90 degree turns

@mrtriplesix performance is almost identical between the auto and stick. only difference is the stick gets way better mpg

just got my 06 gto
check out my top speed run in my videos
all stock other than exhaust and h pipe. so far iv been very impressed with performance.

the gto looks horrid the monaro looks awesome different front end and wheels this may be nothing like the old gto but it is perfect for the old monaros

@scottysg Check Cars.com and just do a search for GTOs, listing lowest prices first. 04s are going as cheap as $10995. In fact, there are two of them going for UNDER 10 grand. These things are a bargain.

it is an awesome car in terms of its performance but i think that naming it a GTO was a mistake they should have made it look more like the old GTO

I find it amusing how on every GTO video ever uploaded on youtube, there is some weirdo that has to let us know that it's a rebadged holden monaro. Is your self esteem that low, do you have to let us know? Why does it matter?....the engine (aka, the thing that makes the GTO so badass) is American.

I paid 11k for mine! only 30k miles. LOVE IT. If you knock the GTO, your just jealous (sp) PERIOD.
