Towards the bottom of the screen or the low end of the marimba you can see a few of the accidental keys overlapping showing that they are above the natural keys but yeah it does give an impression of 2-D marimba lol.

Dude... guys... this is definitely traditional grip... it looks nothing like burton's grip in this video... Just clarifying that. lol.

its traditional grip not burton. look at the index finger and thumb..thats the dead give-away.

I believe this piece was intended to have a heavier/louder sound, so i like the mallet choice.
