My Opinion on the MUMMY 3: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR

WOW. I didn't think that this video would do as good as it has. If you guys like this one, feel free to look at some of my others.

okay, I found out a few days after making this that maria bello claims that there will be a Mummy 4 and a spin-off. Here are three things about what she's saying that I find interesting.

1) the movie has been in "development hell" for years so don't push your luck (at least not this early) with a fourth one.

2) There's already a spin-off (Scorpion King in case you didn't know and apparently the prequel to that movie)

3) Maria Bello's portrayal hasn't been shown yet in theaters and ALREADY fans are hating it, how can she honestly tell people that there's going to be a fourth one?

on a side note to my second point, this means that there are going to be at least 7 Mummy movies. The Mummy, the Mummy Returns, Scorpion King, The Mummy 3, The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian, The Mummy 4 and another spin-off (though she might have been talking about the Scorpion King Prequel so there's at least 6). is anybody else getting a headache from the whole timeline issue?


As for the whole comparison with Indiana Jones 4, I know that there's probably a large time difference between the mummy returns gap to this one and the last crusade to kingdom of the crystal skull, but I think you get my point. also, rick and indy are very similar.

On another note, Maria Bello stated recently that the character of Evy has the same name but is a different character. Here, my hesitation comes back. I personally think that if you're recasted as a character, you should try your hardest in attempt of playing them (unless it's widely possible and there have been many incarnations of them: Dracula as a random example, lol). It's impossible to get it dead on, but I think the actor should still attempt to do it. If it's a totally different character that is the new actor's decision, then I think that's a bit unfair to the audience.

Hi. The Mummy movies have been the ones of my favorites but I'm a bit disappointed not to see Ardeth Bay (eye candy)...and I agree that there has been no particular link between the previous Mummies with the Dark Emperor one..A lot has been changed like Evy character and from what I heard and saw from the trailer, well, I have to say that I will probably not going to see it, I just have this feeling that I will not be impressed and the whole thing is weird.

well I did a review on it a few days ago and in truth, it really didn't live up to my expectations for it. I was a fan of the Mummy movies and this just really didn't do it for me. I hope it helps.

ok your worrying about rick and his son and brother in law aging realistically in a movie about the dead coming back to life trying to take over the world which is not very realistic and can only happen in movies, books and video games is that what your saying tell me if im wrong but thats what i think your saying

I totally see your point. I thought I had mentioned that in the video, but I guess i forgot. I do agree that people coming back from the undead is completely unrealistic, but at the same time in lots of movies where they bring sort of "impossible" features, I think that they still need to bring realistic parts to a movie. like in a sci-fi movie, somebody walks around space without a suit on for like ten minutes.

Haven't seen mummy 3? Dear god dont watch it! Totally crap. They seem to ruin all the classics now, like indiana jones, Harry potter(the order of the phoenix was stupid), and of course the mummy 3. And the national treasure 3, wich is coming 2010-11, aint gonna be as good as people think, i just know it

My opinion on this movie is this:It's good when SHE is not in the picture, I really like it when it's just the guys,but it's not worth seeing more than 2 times.I MISS ARDETH AND THE REAL EVY!!!!!!If there is going to be a fourth they have to come back!!!!
