"spanking" is for parents who lack the skills to effectively communicate with there children. children will make mistakes over and over. thats no excuse to beat them over and over. i think kids should be taught in school that if your parents beat you or "spank" you at home your allowed to report them. call ACS or the police.

You were totally unprepared for this little speech you gave. You gave honestly no solid reason as to why a parent should or shouldn't spare the rod. We whip children when we can find no other method to keep them obedient and in control. It is a way of instilling a sense of fearful respect into children, so that they realize their parents do not command them to obey without reason. After a whipping, a child has a fear of disobedience because there is a consequence afterwards. Simple as that.

95% Agree w/@Talliesalley the 5% that I don't agree with is the reality of anger. Each person expresses it differently, and some curse & yell, while others don't. However, a whoopin can be severe coming from either. When implementing descipline on a child, at times one might lose sight of their intent because of their personal level of anger. However, that is why we call getting a whoopin the consequences of ones mistakes. Spankin a Child is Necessary.
