A quick video tour of Lenovo's eLounge, which is the beta test for Nortel's web'alive technology. It is aimed at the business market and has some great business-specific tools and functions. It also has a very low barrier to entry unlike most other virtual worlds. Another great feature is the low hardware requirements. The eLounge works a treat on my EeePC 1000H. For my review of the eLounge check out: http://www.skribeproductions.com/2009/01/22/checkingout-lenovos-elounge/
I foresee the web.alive tech being extremely useful for virtual tradeshows, conferences and exhibitions. Going Virtual is a great way to save money and make money at the same time. And it's better for the environment because of the lower carbon footprint than real world conferences.
