  • guys i still have the milwaukee to this date and it is still performing like knew, it is all dirty and dusty in the motor, dropped so manny times from 6' ladder and it keep working, the only thing that i am sad is the it only has one led light and it broke on impact dropped from the ladder! my cousin has the same drill and also happen the same thing! i wish milwaukee could redesign a better led protection! ho ever owns the bosch, please share with us it's durability and battery. Thanks

  • Thanks for the video comparison. I went ahead and ordered the Bosch just now from Amazon based on the stock battery longevity and the smaller size. I will say that I'm not real sure the last "heavy-duty" test is a good comparison for impact drivers, drills yes.

  • @morton337 thanks for the comment!

I try to test in any kind of situation although there are more types to compare but i was focusing in the power and speed of both! and i still have to this day the milwaukee and it is still performing as it was since is was new, the only issue that a had is that i dropped it so many time from the ladder and the led broke and this same situation happen with cousin which he owns the same drill. may it is too much torture for the drill.

  • I would love to see this very similar review if possible with the Dewalt new 12 volt max impact driver DCF815S2 vs the Bosch and the Milwaukee. It will be very helpful if that sort of review can be done. I know the Dewalt is bigger and the claims aren't always there but your review shows the proof is in the use vs what is advertised on paper.

    Thanks and well done.

  • @cue03 i will get the dewalt 12 max, I am also very curious to do this duel!!

  • This is a great review. Holding the Bosch and reading the specs, it appears to be the better impact. Your test proves that wrong and you bring up a good point about the availabilty of other M12 tools and batteries to go along with the Milwaukee.

  • @Justensen That is exactly what i expected according to the specs from bosch, but i was surprised how the milwaukee stood it's ground on the heavy duty work and honoring it's spec's on duty, while the the bosh is only faster on soft materials. Beside it, milwaukee battery i more advance and last longer.

  • Used to had a set of Dewalt 12v Max Drill+Impact driver & sold them cuz i felt like its batteries(3s) does not last like i expected even fully charged & keep them at room Temp in winter. Makita 12v max WEAK, used Milwaukee 12v from my coworker & didn't like it. Now Owned Bosch 12v & 18v set ( Blackfriday deal Lowe's even lower than Milvaukee at home depot) & i just Love it !! 12v light-med duty job and 18v Med-Heavy duty Job !! droped fr. 10ft ladder several times, they still run strong

  • bullshit dude. Those results are not scientific man. Just bought the Milwaukee 12v impact today and I can't believe how small shit is getting. Do you think a 12v could take off lugs?

  • Any bosch, makita, milwaukee, dewalt & rigid 12v or 10.8v will do a good job. My only grip with any of them was the battery in the handle that made the handle feel like it was for large hands except the dewalt. The dewalt was an absolute pleasure to hold so I went with it. Home owners who seldom use cordless tools might try ryobi. Much cheaper & do a good job. Drilled thousands of 1/4" holes with 18v ryobi 3 speed hammer drill for 4 years before it died hanging banners in my sign business.

  • This is last yrs model of Milwaukee's M12. They now have the "RED LITHIUM" battery. They hold twice as much charge and have more power....My new Red lithium batteries are much better than the older ones from last yr.....

  • Both are excellent but I like the entire Milwaukee line slightly better. I don't think you can go wrong either way. Please don't sweat over it like I did. For the price, I like Milwaukee's 12 volt line. So many more tools can share the same battery. But for most jobs you won't find any major difference; Makita's also a good buy and DeWalt of course. My favorite drill for the house in the M12 Hammer drill from Milwaukee. Bundle up if you can to get the driver. The M18 line is great too!
