  • excuse me, can anyone tell me the name of the music at the end of clip, which start from 05:49? in this music , the melody start from 06:13 is same as the Chopin Etude in E?!

  • Yes you are right.

The song is called Melodias del Corazon (Melodies of the Heart), orchestra Donato.

One of Mary Ann's and my favorites.

    Regards Oscar.

  • Thank you for this. I used to follow him around while dancing in the milonga. I learned more doing that than a class. He was truly one of the greats and I will do my best to carry on this great milonguero tradition!

  • Just watched it again after watching RIchard and Miriam.. SO so so wonderful and your tribute Oscar so nice. Thank you

  • I never knew him - or about him - before he passed away, but when i watch this tribute and other videos of him dancing - I miss him very much. Thank you for taking the time to share your memories with us and I imagine he is up in heaven dancing w/all the lucky tangeras!

  • Oscar this piece of music melodias del Corazon does come from Chopin Etude No3. It has appeared in many guises over the years. recorded by pop singers under the title So deep is the night. It was very slow in the Chopin version. it is nice to know where these things come from. I also believe the molinete or Giro is derived from the fleckerl in the Viennese waltz., which I understand is the oldest recognised partner dance.

I am of course just a humble 2 years experience Tango dancer.

  • Great architect of tango, great milonguero! Many thanks for this video

  • thanks a lot! I love this song much!
