Oh my goodness! I have the same hair type as you, and I find it dreadful to wash my hair. It usually winds up being a very long, drawn out, and tiring process. It's nice to find someone like you. It can be frustrating trying to get advice on Youtube when most of the popular natural hair women have loosely curled hair that takes basically no time to detangle. So I was so excited to see your video. Do you know any other Youtubers with the same hair type?

Excellent video. And I'm really impressed that you don't really have a lot of hair in your comb. Proof that natural really is healthy. Our hair likes being natural! :)

@249money So true! I ALWAYS wash in braids!

@CrownJewel32 Oh......I forgot one of the MOST important steps when I detangle. I use my HANDS first!!! ALWAYS seperate the tangles in your hair with your hands first! That will save so much hair and so much trouble detangling, ya'll!!!

Also, I just wanna say this. It shouldn't hurt when you're detangling AT ALL. If it's hurting you, you're not doing it right.

Yeah, the best way I've found to detangle is to 1.) Completely drench my loose hair in water and then take my Kinky Curly knot today and put it on all of my hair. Then, I take my herbal essences hello hydration and slather a whole lot of it on top of the kinky curly (Which gives the hair TREMENDOUS slip). 2.) Put my tangled hair in 4 sections. 3.) Take down one of the four sections and pull out smaller sections from it and start detangling. I end up with very little hair loss---it's amazing!

where did u get black soap shampoo i looked all over online. I want same as yours, can you pls post link? is this shampoo great and able to clarify?

I have the same type of hair as you (if not thicker). Your hair needs oil, you might need to prepoo your hair before you wash and condition. Also when detangling use moderate amounts of hair wax/oil while your hair is damp and finger comb. You will get less shedding this way. The way that you were brushing it with the denman brush made me wince; especially when you took the scissors to your hair. Hope works out for you! Best wishes.
My official hair crush!!! Thank you so much for posting!!

I have exactly the same hair texture type as you but one thing I know that really helped detangling was detangling AFTER i've worn the conditioning/ heat cap or used a steamer. It makes it so much easier...trust me. Love ur hair by the way

Great video. My hair texture is very similar to yours and I find that washing my hair in plaits/box braids help me out alot, which means it saves me on detangling and I loose less hair. Just think about it if a person can wash their hair in locs I can wash my hair in plaits/box braids. Just give it a try and see how you like it. Just subscribed.
