10-15a: Pretty boy Chris leaves Oakdale. Dylan Bruce's last day. :(

PART 1/2 - What a shame that Chris and Nuke never had any real scenes together. Chris did take care of Ethan after he was rescued from the hole, so there was a bit of interaction with the Snyders (he was adorable with Ethan, giving that high-five). And Chris did show up at Will & Gwen's going-away party, where Nuke was (remember Luke orally playing with that party favor? ☺). But he stayed outside to avoid his rival, Aaron.

Was Dylan Bruce fired from ATWT or did he decide to leave the show?

A few weeks ago, I heard that his status was downgraded. Bruce might have been insulted, or he might have known that the future looked bleak so he may have left on his own. Actors rarely get fired unless they did something bad. The writers might have said that they've run out of story ideas, just as they did for the actors who played Maddie and Jade.

My guess is that ATWT is facing budget cuts again. After peaking at the top 3 in March, they are now back down at the Bottom 4 soaps in ratings. People are buying fewer P&G products because of the bad economy, which hurts the soap budgets. P&G also sponsors Guiding Light, which is always in the Bottom 3. So actors either take a pay cut or are let go (non-contract actors like Jake "Noah" are at risk).
