Or it could give people a false sense of security and they won't be as careful when they're driving.
But government programs never have unintended consequences, right?

Why is the car insurance industry the only industry responsible enough to have an institute for safety and finding ways to lower costs and whatnot?? Shouldn't ALL insurance industries, esp. health insurance, have some kind of group like that to study and figure out ways to keep costs low for themselves and consumers? Seems a little irresponsible not to.

so basically this new technology if for women right? =P

Haven't BMW & Mercedes been using this technology for some time? This is nothing new. Adaptive head lights have been available in BMW's for the last 5 years at least.
It's about time American manufacturers caught up.

totally learn to drive and pay attention
and that beeping features will probably make some kids to challenge it to seehow long you let it beep till you hit the brakes!!! then we'll have more accidents
but that blind spot helps alot for larger vehicles that actually need them but then I always avoid driving in blind spots of others so your point is still valid :)

More Gadgets = More Cost = More shit that breaks = More Cost... end point.. May save a shitty drivers life, but for the cost and where I live unless it can scan hills 100yds ahead for animals in the dark I'll go without.. pesky deer lol
