  • Brother, I am enjoying your videos on the Trinity. However, Mark 5:19, the word used in the greek, is Kurios, and is translated "Lord". So, while I am a Trinitarian myself, I would not see that this proves it. A JW would just say, the word is "lord", not God almighty. Or something to that effect.

  • @Haukman66 The point I was trying to make is that If the JWs believe that the name Jehovah is to be used in this verse, then they would also have to say that it was Jehovah that healed the man. And it's obvious that Jesus healed him. I believe that the term kurios is used interchangeably for The Father and Jesus throughout the new testament. Thanks for your comment .

  • This account to me could be likened to a construction company that builds houses. The company is owned by three individuals. One of the individuals builds a house, but rather than taking the credit for building the house himself, he states that The "company" (Jehovah) built the home. In a similar way the Trinity can be thought of as a spiritual construction and renovation "company" What is built or restored is a joint effort of the three acting as one.

  • @earnestlyseeking Oh, okay, I gotcha! My bad. LOL. God bless.

  • It is amazing just how layered the Bible really is on continually pulling truth out of it. Man can tamper with it and re-explain it all he wants, but the Word of God protects itself and one can find truth in it even if a group thinks that it has all of their arguments in cheak . Now, they will have to explain away THIS VERSE TOO, and be forced to add this one to their collection of excuses for not believing. I caught it before you even started to read it. Just another piece in the puzzle.

  • Yeah....like you said "it's kinda neat". Just like discovering your old uncle Walter died and left his entire multi-million dollar estate exclusively to you is "kinda neat" as well. LOL

YOU my friend are as HOT AS A PISTOL!!!

  • OH, This is a good one. The NWT is saying Jesus is Jehovah!!!! Rock on!!!!!

  • Same account in NWT Lk8:39 "Be on your way back home, and keep on relating what things God did for you." Accordingly he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city what things Jesus did for him."

Another: Jesus cured ten lepers Lk17:11-19. Jesus tells the ten go show yourselves to the priests (at Jerusalem temple). As they went along they were cured. One turned back glorifying God with a loud voice at Jesus feet (v15-16). Jesus calls Himself "God" (v18), told the man his faith made him well.
