It is quite sad.. To adults, children were nothing but street rats if orphans or poor.. :( This movie made me cry so much for my dad when I saw it as a child. <3 It still tugs at my heart strings today

@YankeeGem87 i know in that era it was very savage time for children esp little orphans. if i were alive then i would have started a children crusade for better treatment esp for orphans:(

my sister and her husband have the kindest heart. they took in her husband's sister's orphaned son and daughter and raising a 15 year old and 11 year old along with their own two young children

When I was in middle school, and I saw this for the first time, I had it on cassette. I would listen to it while walking to the bus stop in the cold. Wow I haven't thought about that until now :(
